Expired temporary residence permits must be renewed

By Resolution «On Amendments to Resolution № 1202 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 21^st of October 2022» № 141, dated 5^th of February 2026, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine amended the procedure for renewing temporary residence permits for foreigners.

Since 7^th of May 2026, foreigners who have temporary residence permits that expired after 24^th of February 2022, must renew it.

During the period from May 7, 2026 to August 4, 2026, an application must be submitted for the renewal of a temporary residence permit that has expired during the period of martial law.

It should be noted that the Resolution does not provide for a transitional period permitting the use of an expired residence permit for the purpose of crossing the border of Ukraine. For a detailed legal consultation on this matter, we recommend contacting our team.
